X4?

At the People's Choice Awards Halle Berry won Favorite Female Action Star for sucking at Storm in X3. She said this about it:

"I had no idea you guys loved Storm so much! Wow, thank you, thank you. And I want to thank Tom Rothman for allowing me to play Storm, and Brett Ratner for allowing Storm to finally use her cape and fly this year." said Halle Berry at yesterday's People's Choice Awards.

"But I have something to ask you guys. You guys really love X-Men? Ok, here's what you have to do. Write letters. Every one of you in this building who love X-Men and want to see X-Men 4, write a letter to Tom Rothman at Fox and tell him so and you will get another one, and I'll be there too."

I really remember her bitching a bunch and wanting more screen time and wanting to not make the movies and all kinds of craziness, now she wants to make X4? Maybe it's because she makes shit movies that no one sees like Catwoman and Gothika and realized that the only way anyone is going to come see her is if she's wearing a white wig.

You can write or email Tom Rothman (who I have also heard hates the whole X-Men franchise and wanted it to fail) and tell him to not be an idiot and make X4 with the info below:

Nightcrawler gets married!

Alan Cumming (the actor who played Nightcrawler in X2) married illustrator Grant Shaffer over the weekend. I think it's funny that in the Ultimate X-Men comics, Nightcrawler totally hates gay people and quit being friends with Colossus when he found out that he was gay and went all crazy, but in the movies Nightcrawler was played by a gay man who was also in Son of the Mask which was probably really awful. That'll learn you Nightcrawler. Seriously though, why would Nightcrawler hate Colossus for being gay and get all pissy and judge him for it when Nightcrawler himself is blue and has a tail? Ultimate Nightcrawler needs to chill out.

Aqueduct

Aqueduct is coming out with a new album in February. He makes some really nice, cheerful, sometimes electronic-ish pop music. I'm really awful at describing music. Oh well. He's going to be playing at free show at the Billiken Club in St. Louis on March 31st. I'll be there. Here's 2 songs from his upcoming album (one about the Princess Bride) and an oldie.

Aqueduct - Living a Lie
Aqueduct - As you Wish
Aqueduct - Growing up with GNR

Attractive and Popular

I love Attractive and Popular. Their live show is full of nonstop rock and they just blow my mind. They're one of my favorite bands, there's no doubt about it. I've had the wonderful honor of playing a few shows with them and it's going to happen again this Sunday in Belleville, IL @ The Ground Floor. So if you're in the area, be sure to check it out.

A&P will be releasing their album Money Equals Magic in May 2007 through Gold Standard Labs who has worked with !!!, The Rapture, The Faint, Mars Volta, The Locust, Melt Banana and more. I've had the album for awhile now (unless they re-recorded it) and it's fantastic.

Alien Ant Farm

Remember Alien Ant Farm? I thought they were amazing back in the day, that feeling kinda left after awhile. After coming across their album ANThology in a cd case that my father found in a box of junk at an auctioin, I let my roommate Andy put it on his iPod and we rocked our way to Chicago for new years listening to AAF. It was a good time and I actually really still like some of their songs. They're actually still together and released a third album in 2006. The original guitarist and bassist both left in recent years (the guitarist joined Powerman 5000), but Alien Ant Farm is still kicking around, good for them! Here's two of those awesome AAF jams.

More Marvel Zombies!

So I was browsing about through Wikipedia the other day and learned all kinds of great Marvel Zombies news! I'm sure I'm a little late with all this, but I'm still really excited. It's been announced that there is going to be a one off prequel comic explaining how some of the heroes became zombies and leads up to the Ultimate Fantastic Four storyline that started it all. There's also going to be a mini-series called Marvel Zombies vs. The Army of Darkness where Ash from AOD is in this alternate zombie marvel universe battling the zombie heroes. There's also going to eventually be a Marvel Zombies 2. Hooray Hooray Hooray!

You can find more info and some links at the Marvel Zombies Wikipedia page

new Modest Mouse

Here's a radio rip of the new Modest Mouse tune "Dashboard" from their new album We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank. It's pretty good. I'm not sure if it's the first single or anything, it's not super duper crazily catchy like Float On or anything, but it's nice.

You can find it over here.

update from Chicago

I went to Chicago for the first time last night for New Year's, it was a good time. I just thought I would update since I'm up bright and early.

Here's a sweet jam I've been listening to a lot lately from Ghostland Observatory.

Ghostland Observatory - Sad Sad City

and here's the two leaked Arcade Fire songs in case you don't have them already.

Arcade Fire - Intervention
Arcade Fire - Black Wave/Bad Vibrations

Also here's the trailer for Fast Track starring Jason Bateman and Zach Braff. I'll have to add it to my list of movies to watch in 2007 which consists of every other awesome movie that is coming out in 2007.

I have learned a few things in Chicago, mainly that Alien Ant Farm is still awesome.
